The ALPHA glove has a true anatomically correct fit, superior dexterity, extreme liner bond strength, and remains soft and pliable use after use, wash after wash.
 
The ALPHA glove’s main heat protection comes from our KOVENEX, not the leather. This exclusive design yields a thinner, softer glove without compromising thermal protection. With a TPP rating of 45 Fireman's Shield gloves are rated 30% above the NFPA standard.
 
The ALPHA glove utilizes a specially formulated vapor / BBP insert that has a melting point well over 400f. Waterproof, yet breathable, it is engineered to provide superior liquid penetration resistance against blood, body fluids and common chemicals. 5,200psi tensile strength adds to reliability and durability over the life of the gloves.
 
The ALPHA gloves premium Italian leather outer shell is constructed using a special tanning process perfected by Italian craftsmen over centuries. It is this luxurious leather that makes our gloves soft yet durable affording increased comfort and reduced hand, forearm, and shoulder fatigue
 
Fireman's Shield ALPHA gloves are being certified by SEI for NFPA 1971-07 Edition for Structure Fire Fighting.
